COVID-19 Policy/Procedures Update
On March 17th the CDC released a statement to “Postpone routine eye care visits.” and, of “critical importance are immediate efforts to assure access to essential health care, including urgent and emergent care provided by doctors of optometry, which can alleviate burdens on emergency departments.”
As such, we have reduced our office hours and are currently only open from 10:00am – 2:00pm for these more urgent visits. We are therefore postponing all routine examinations until further notice. Mountain West Medical Center would appreciate us helping keep all eye-related concerns out of the hospital to preserve resources. We will be here to help you with ANY eye-related concerns you feel are urgent including eye infections, flashes/floaters, pain, redness, broken glasses, last pair of contacts, etc.
We can still order contact lenses & glasses. If you are out and just need to order more without needing any change we can extend the RX expiration. If you need a change and feel it is urgent let us know and we can see you. We are offering curbside delivery of eyeglasses and contact lens orders if you don’t want to come in. Please call when you arrive and we will come out to you.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of fever/flu/cold, please DO NOT enter the office.
Thank you,
Dr. Jed Winder
